Ryan Montbleau Band Ryan began his career playing Boston's coffee shops and folk venues, developing his picking abilities and unmistakable voice. Slowly but surely, Ryan built up a 6-piece band, aptly titled the Ryan Montbleau Band. With drums, upright bass, keys, sax, viola and guitar, the group is bridging the gap between 70's soul, ragtime and blues-folk-Americana. The band encompasses what Ryan calls the "holt trinity" of a singer/songwriter's craft: guitar, voice and words. It would be hard to criticize any of these elements in Montbleau's songs. Gongzilla Gongzilla is the shit!" - Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic) Journalist Bill Milkowski called GZ "simply mind-boggling". Gongzilla first released a series of mostly instrumental albums featuring guest guitarists on each one, including jazz fusion legends Allan Holdsworth, David Torn and David Fiuczynski. More recently, Gongzilla has included some U.S. jamband heroes, like guitarist Chuck Garvey of moe., and has emphasized vocals, crafting songs which fuse with improvisational rock. Contradictions and balance; Rowe and Lozaga sing cool songs that will singe your soul while balancing both the hyper precision and the rockin’ mayhem this band is capable of live. Website ~ Myspace |

Fungus Amungus The soulful sounds of Fungus Amungus have been spreading like wildfire throughout the jam/funk scene in the northeast. These seven funky brothers hail from Providence, RI, where they have been dropping the funk since the summer of 2002. From performing at festivals such as Camp Creek and Wormtown's Garden of Eden to sharing the stage with the likes of Max Creek, the Spin Doctors, the Violent Femmes and the Bomb Squad, Fungus Amungus has been setting the pace for live music in southern New England. For two consecutive years, Fungus Amungus was selected "Best Jam Band" in New England by the Providence Phoenix. Also, in 2005, the Fungus was selected to be a finalist in WBRU's annual RockHunt. Their sound is an eclectic mix of funk, soul, reggae, groove and a hint of Irish whiskey. In the winter of 2004, their first full-length CD was introduced to the public: "All Banged Up". Since that time, the band has been mastering the art of the live show, with one highlight being a 7-hour performance at Wormtown's StrangeCreek festival. With a hunger for bringing up the live music scene in New England, Fungus Amungus intends to stick around and throw down some dirty funk for years to come. Myspace |

Nate Wilson Group Most rock bands like to think they’re constantly moving forward. The Nate Wilson Group is moving backwards. Believe it or not, regression is exactly what the New Hampshire-based quintet is aiming for. While the majority of today’s rock bands hook laptops up to their amplifiers, blend hip hop and electronica into their sound, and aim for the singles-driven iPod trend, keyboardist Nate Wilson and his cohorts hearken back to a time when dinosaurs like Cream, Led Zeppelin and Traffic roamed the Earth. They gravitate towards an era when the album reigned supreme and concerts were organic spontaneous creatures instead of the predictable, cookie-cutter bores they’ve become. For Wilson and his band, backwards is the new forward. Website ~ Myspace |

Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover Rocketing towards Earth from the farthest regions of the galaxy comes Moon Boot Lover... invigorating, awe-inspiring, and reminiscent of the comic storylines that spin fantastical super heroes. Founded in Albany, NY back in 1990, the name reflects the imagination of their leader, Peter Prince, the magician in the moon boots who fuels this rocketship of soul. Unlikened to anything in the known galaxy, the band continues its mission of delivering their own brand of 'Rock-ET Soul' -- an electrifying blend of the enchantment of Al Green, the guitar wizardry of Jimi Hendrix, the spellbinding songwriting of Jim Croce, and the rock grandeur of Grand Funk Railroad and Led Zeppelin -- to the people of Earth. Zach Deputy Hailing from the South Carolina coast, Zach Deputy has infused his earthy blues, roots-rock and soul with hip-hop beats, dance hall rhythms and a bit of the tropical humidity of Calypso and reggae. Maybe it is a natural result of living and performing along the Southeast’s beaches for the last four or five years, maybe it is a conscious desire to spice up the intuitive simplicity of his native, regional R&B with the exotic rhythms of the islands. It could even be Zach’s family roots in Puerto Rico and St. Croix. Either way, the result is an original sound as comfortable and accessible as worn flip-flops, open and inviting like a seaside cabana and full of flavor surprises like a New Orleans gumbo. Angeline Angeline is the edgy, haunting and emotionally charged "folk-rock" project of longtime Boston rockers Emily Grogan and Linda Viens. Both distinguished singer/songwriters with active solo careers, Emily and Linda began merging their voices and guitars in 2005 during their daughters' play dates. The delight of singing, working together and sharing "frontperson" responsibilities evolved into Angeline and the recording of their first record, "Powdered Pearls", released on the legendary Americana/Morphine label, HI-N-DRY on March 23, 2007.
